"I guess I'm just waiting. Praying and then waiting to break fast for Ramadan. Waiting for the kids to tire themselves out."
"I've been at Dovecote Cafe for almost a year now and it is an awesome establishment; community oriented and great vibes and we know exactly what they're talking about. My great-grandparents used to live above this building and my great-grandmother was a musician and passed her music genes onto me. I'm a jazz musician and I'm a Baltimore native who is into activism work and into creating. And this space is a great space that allows you to be innovative as you want. If it weren't for this cafe I wouldn't be able to be as innovative, you know?"
"This is my own business and I've been doing this for about four years give or take. I like being in control of my own income to provide for my family. And Baltimore is a good place, and I think that it gets a bad rap. That's what attracted me when you asked to take my photo. We just need to reach out to each other because we are all humans."
"I mean, I guess I started rollerblading constantly then I bought it in the Fall of 2016. I went through a breakup and I replaced being in a relationship with rollerblading. Sometimes I'll bike around the lake and go on loops; it's pretty meditative."
"I'm gonna wish happy Pride to everyone around the world to those in our community for everybody to love them and support them. Sending big love to my hometown of Baltimore. Keep Dancing!"
"Every second Friday of the month at Eagle."
"I'm Nikki and I'm a grad student at MICA, and all I'm doing is walking the dogs with my mom."
"Why is it so high?!
I dunno!
You just gotta hold it.
I've never seen one of these in the water before, a shark."
"We're playing. I'm pushing my little cousin on the bike. I play tag."
"I'm waiting for Mother's Day to start so that I can get some grub and hang out with the family. I hope nothing crazy happens today, and it's just a good day whole way through. In other words I'm just trying to have fun."
