"I'm George from Fire Filled Full Gospel Glorious Church. It's our grand opening day, and I do a lot of the marketing. The community has more people to draw in and now that I'm the music minister we're drawing more people here."

"I believe it to be a bed and breakfast that is more dormitory style with male and female and co-ed dorms. It's more engaging and involved; two weeks ago we had sleep for peace week. Many of our events are community based. We had a potluck last week. In order to stay here, you must live 45 miles away from the city. We have a kitchen which I love, a living room, a dining room, a patio, and a game room. It's a very chill environment, and you can meet anyone here. We have forty beds. It's a home away from home and I love working here."

"I love this place; I love how unapologetically black it is and how much truth there is in this museum. It's so vital and relatable, how history is repeating itself. It's like a beautiful pain and poetic how we're still struggling with the same issues that my ancestors went through. But it gives me hope and hope for my community."

"I'm dead inside. I was being my own cheerleader, we both ran this without eating. I've always wanted to do the marathon so I signed up to do it.

I've done every other race so why not do this one?"

"What do you want me to answer again? Growing up in Baltimore, how WombWork impacted me?

My name is Thaddeus street a film and theatre actor, I'm working on a tv series called The Deuce which is on HBO I have  recurring role there, I grew up in Baltimore city, i was raised by my grandmother and aunts and uncles, grew up in a decent household and growing up in Baltimore City I saw a whole lot of things in the community and family. I became a part of WombWork Productions which was also called Nu World Art Ensemble. At the age of 14 I was introduce to theatre. At this time of my life I was going through a lot emotionally, I was trying to find out who I am and who I was, and just trying to find my place in society, i was going through some things and theatre was the perfect outlet to get me through the issues i was going through and to prepare me for where I'm at now.

Theatre and performing arts has been very instrumental, learning about myself, tapping into the different, me learning meditation and opening and tapping into the emotions in myself. As far as opportunities, I did a lot of productions in the community, theatre, performing arts, and I had opportunities to do film  television. My first experience was with HBO's the Corner and after that I did some stuff with the Wire and the list goes on and on. I was just being noticed for my talent, through my experiences with WombWork, it allowed me to be comfortable and confident."

My name is David Page. I would say that I'm a sculptor and draftsman. Primarily I make objects and I'm fascinated by objects and motions of authenticity regarding materials. In this work over here I create these structures that are enclosures for people who can be contained inside of them. And the people inside of them have to be sustained in some way like they have to be given air or they become uncomfortable. I supply the air through mechanical blowers or bellows. The viewers and bystanders have to get involved to help the people in captivity and even though they're helping out with kindness, they are complicit in their captivity.

This neighborhood exists because this building (Area 405) exists. I was finishing grad school and Jim and Stewart were friends of mine. I needed studio space, and I needed an industrial, affordable studio plus I liked the building. SO I moved my stuff in and it was 15 years ago. I was one of the first tenants here. And Baltimore, because I was living in Florida and I hated Florida and it just seemed so temporary and coming through Baltimore it just felt real like real brick buildings and it had been here for some time and seemed so welcoming. I just kept coming back here.

My first night in Baltimore I had this friend from South Africa and I didn't have his number so I spent the night at Patapsco State Park and it was this completely different world. That kind of forest near the city. You can be on your bicycle and be in Lake Roland in 20 minutes and that's remarkable, or Druid Hill Park too. It's minutes from my house; a fantastic park designed by Olmsted, and that's kind of a benefit. There's so much access to urban forest, like the Jones Falls. There's always some way in very little time to find these intriguing places and it can totally changed your mood."

"I've been coming here since I was five years old. We were members of this church and we've been here forever. We've been married here for 63 years. We have three children, six grandchildren, and our eldest daughter is a member here and works here. We have sour beef dinner and dumplings and string beans. My daughter cooks it in the beer hall. Have you been in our facilities here? We have music and we try to make people think that they are back in Germany. If you want to improve your German, you can register here at the Zion Lutheran Church."
